Coding:

·         It is very important that all hides be punched in the same general area by KFD.  Thus, we are asking customers to place their punches in a location other than where we punch on the hides.  Please remember to use a small punch to punch small, thin-skinned, or wooly animal.  A larger punch may cause the hides to tear easily and the hair will matt and knot up on both sides of the hide.  KFD punches in the following areas (when looking at the hide hair side down):

o   Capes: right of brisket

o   Full skin/ back skin / life size: right of tail

o   Paws/hooves/feet/tails: According to the size of the piece

Technology:

·         Cape: Shoulder mount; neck and head

·         ˝ Life size: cape + front two feet

·         Life Size: Entire hide; head, body, 4 feet

·         Full Skin: no head or legs

·         Back skin: Half of full skin

·         Display:  Life-size without feet (furbearers)

·         Life-size without feet: head, body, no feet (non-furbearers)
